Our Club Sponsor Dealership: Southern Palms Mazda

The South Florida Miata Club is privileged to have one of the best Mazda dealers in South Florida as the underwriter of our web site and email communications: Southern Palms Mazda.

Southern Palms Mazda logoPlease join me in showing our appreciation to John Lovelett, general manager of Southern Palms Mazda of West Palm Beach for their generous support — allowing us to post our events, share our ideas and enjoy the benefits of a well-functioning web site at the heart of our organization.

August is the month when the annual sponsorship comes due, so we’re only weeks away from the time when we hope our sponsor will renew their commitment to our club.

It’s only right and proper that we express our thanks and show our appreciation for their generosity, and tell them we hope they will continue being our sponsor for another year.

Please join me in sending a short message to Southern Palms Mazda general manager John Lovelett to let him know we appreciate their generous support as our web site sponsor.

    His email address is: jlovelett@wpbmazda.com

    Members Profile Pages

Please Update Your Members Profile Pages

In reviewing our members list, I notice many of you have not uploaded the pictures of yourself or your cars to the web site. I know we are all very proud of our cars and not sure why you wouldn’t want to show it off under your profile page unless you are having difficulty navigating the web site. For that reason, I will give a step by step tutorial to help you add your photos. If you still have problems, Rob can certainly help get them uploaded for you.

Click on Members to access the sub-menu choices
To start, once you log in to the web site, you will see at the top of the page under the header a list of tabs. You will move the arrow to the members tab and in the drop-down menu, click on the profile tab.

Once you are on your profile page, you will see “Change Profile Photo” and “Change Cover Image.” The profile image is a picture of yourself that will be seen on all your posts. This image should be in a square form, at least 300 x 300 pixels.

The cover image is a picture of your car or anything else if you so choose and should be in a rectangle form of at least 632 x 225 pixels. Once you’ve chosen your pictures and uploaded them to your computer, you are ready to go.

Click on the change profile tab, then click on “select your file.” Upload your chosen picture, adjust to fill the square box and save. You are done.
To upload your cover photo, follow the same steps. Hopefully these instructions are clear and we will see many more of your smiling faces and cars on our web site soon.

Again, if you have any issues, see the web site Help Page.

    Can you leave a comment?

Our web site has a lot of nice features, but once in a while we find some problems and need help trying to figure out what’s going wrong. Recently, some members had trouble replying with comments. To test for problems, please try to leave a reply to this post. If you are unsuccessful, please send an email to the web site administrator: rob at quantumleap dot net.

We are testing a simple version of our design theme to see if this makes a difference.

Keep testing, not sure it’s really working right. I’ve experience some comments in the wrong places.

I replied to your reply and then replied to my reply of your reply. Does that make it two-ply?

Looks to be working for me.

Let’s hope we get past this rough patch and it all keeps working. It’s really complicated, but I think the firewall is aggressively trying to “save us” from perceived threats. It rejects thousands of spam and malicious hits every month that we never see. Theses are false positives that fall through the cracks.

There is still a problem. I answered your question about the badges below, it showed accepting and posting my comment , but it doesn’t show up after logging out. I tried twice.
