2000 Mazda MX 5 Miata LS For Sale…

2000 Mazda MX-5 Miata LS For Sale $3950 OBO in Miami Beach

I hate to sell this awesome Miata but I need to buy a daily-driver for a new job which requires long commutes. It has 90,000 miles. Engine is strong as an ox and revs smooth. A blast to drive. Hate to see it go. I am only the second owner—the previous and original owner was a mature Boca Raton lady who owned it until 2015. Factory Bose Sound System. Oil changed every 4000 miles. New top with defroster/glass installed 1/15/17. Left and right new genuine OEM full headlamp Assemblies replaced in 2016. Everything in working order except power antenna which snapped off in the auto car wash. It has a new water pump replaced in 1/15/18. All new belts, new radiator, new clutch master cylinder with all components replaced a couple of years ago as well. It has some scrapes along the corner fenders from parking it on Miami Beach streets and a rear collision a bodyshop confirmed is cosmetic and nothing mechanical. Leather seats are original and cracking but the dash is in great shape. This car deserves to be owned by someone who is looking for a great deal on a very strong low-mileage Miata with no rust. It’s a perfect sports car to knock around on the beach and weekend.

NA Jackson Racing Supercharger to NB 2000 Miata?

    Hello,
Can I install a used NA Jackson Racing Supercharger on my NB 2000 Miata? Would there be any issues due to engine differences? Can you guys recommend a good mechanic in the Miami area to have it installed? Thanks for your help.

While it physically possible to mount the NA supercharger to the NB motor, there are some issues that will complicate everything else.

There are two versions of the Jackson Racing unit, a M45 and a M60 unit. The M45 unit is too small for the 1.8 motor. If this unit for the NA 1.8, there are some differences in the throttle bodies and electronics.

A Megasquirt or other stand alone engine management units will solve a lot of the issues with adapting the NA style supercharger to the NB, but your are then talking about adding an additional $1,000.

Answer the following questions and I will recommend you a path to modify your car:
How much HP do you wish to make?

How do you plan to use the car (Daily driver, fun weekend only car, track car, etc.)?

Do you intend on keeping the A/C, power steering etc.?
