Track Night August 15 Palm Beach International Raceway.
I’m having trouble posting an event, so just listing this here. I’m headed out again in two weeks if anybody else is interested. If you have questions, send me a message.
I have a $25 off coupon code that can be used over and over and will share, it gets the entry down to $125. Track insurance for your car is based on agreed value. I pay about $125 in insurance per event for $22k in coverage. So $250 plus gas and tires. Then an added cost to take my wife Tracy out for dinner afterwards and thanking her profusely for letting me take her car to the track.

Steve, are you just posting this or are you planning to attend? Mark Gilbert, you mentioned last week you’d be interested. Tell you what, if Steve and at least one other person goes, I’ll go too. C’mon. Confirm here and I’ll register for it and arrange 1/2 day off work.

OK, so I must be hard of reading. Sorry, Steve, I just re-read your post. I see you ARE already planning to go. So, anyone else? Mark?!? Hmmm?

Be great for you to come out and give us all pointers. Rules are any registered driver can ride along with another registered driver. An Intermediate/Advanced can instruct a novice, and a novice can ride along with an Intermediate/Advanced. No “joy” rides where you invite a friend to ride along to give them a thrill. If requested SCCA will also find a coach for novice drivers.
There are a ton of restaurants on PGA Blvd on the way back to turnpike/95 so we could all have a cold one and talk about the experience.

So, you’re planning a track day without me? Afraid I’ll be faster? Lol.

Who said I wouldn’t want you to be there? I first wanted to confirm I would go. I reviewed the schedule. Each of the three run groups (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced) get three 20-minute sessions. Obviously we’d be scrambling to change drivers with only 20-minute sessions; you know how long it takes to get belted in. So if we both drive we’d be in about 15-minute sessions for whomever follows the other. But no biggie; our participation would be more for the new club members. So, DJ, can you get off work early to do it? I was just figuring on driving the car on the race rubber but if you can go we can bring a support vehicle and drive up there on streets. I assume we both can sign up in two different run groups and both run in the same car.
Steve, please let us know how we can share the coupon so we can register.

OK, Steve, I signed up. Anyone else?
