road trip suggestion: Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

Hey, everyone, I’ve been AWOL a bit lately.

I have a suggestion for a road trip: Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. I visited Saturday November 19, and it was most enjoyable. The sanctuary covers many acres of pristine everglades. It features a 2.25-mile boardwalk affording spectacular vistas, flora and fauna. It’s what most of South Florida looked like centuries ago.

I’d suggest we make this a road trip soon, during cooler weather. It’s between Imokalee and Naples, and takes just under 2 hours to get there. A lunch somewhere in Naples might also be a great thing to do after a morning visit to the sanctuary. I’d recommend getting there 9-ish while the park is still quiet and the sun is lower in the sky for best pictures. I’d also suggest bringing a camera.
